Another starter problem

My apologies if this has been answered, but I was unable to find any thread about this specific issue. My 03 R50 has been failing to start. There is a clicking sound coming from the fuse box, and the interior lights flicker. What I haven't seen is an answer to this part: When I disconnect and reconnect the battery, it starts just fine. Has anyone else had this problem?

Could be a failing battery or a flat spot on the starter motor. I would got with a new battery first and see if that solves your problem.

Most of your local decent auto parts stores will have an electrical system analyzer that will tell you if the battery is good or bad and also if there are other problems with your system. Call around and ask then you can find out if the battery is the culprit. Usually though your problem indicates a bad connection. Are the connections clean?
