Replaced dead battery, now errors

So the MINI decided to kill off the OE battery, after 7+ years.

I put a new battery in, an Autocraft Gold 47H5, and she starts right up, but the temp gauge says it is 6 degrees outside when it is over 90 and the DSC and tire pressure warning lights stay illuminated.

Suggestions before I try to find a dealer I can trust?

It's a 2004 MINI Cooper S.

Disconnect the battery for 1/2 hour or so to allow everything to reset.

Five must be the charm. I'd already let it sit disconnected for almost an hour; after 5 restarts, the lights cleared and the temp gauge works again. Thanks!
