Front end noise solved after two years

So two years ago I started getting a clunking in my front end on the right side, I assumed it was the control arm bushings knowing that they go bad so I said AHHH, I'll get to it one of theses days, so the mini hibernates for the winter so I put it off cuz it wasn't that bad! So this spring I took out the mini from the garage and the noise seemed worse, a specially in the first 15min of driving then it seems to fade? So luckily this past September I started working at a garage for the first time, so I have unlimited access to a lift!!!!! Which for a gear head is like heaven! So I put it up on the lift to check everything, CAB are bad so that was first order of business, they were a PITA but a little air hammering and heat and they were replaced! took it for a ride seemed a tiny bit better but not fixed! AHHHH so after replacing the end links inner ball joints upper mounts, and even the Koni FSD's, the noise was still there WTF!!!! So the only thing left was the swaybar bushings so what the hell they seem fine but why not! Last week I put it on the lift and lower the sub frame and replaced them a REAL PITA, and now the noise is gone. The moral to the story is replace your sway bar bushings first even if they look fine and are not ripped, even if you take them out the car and they STILL look fine replace them, and save yourself the stress

Glad you figured it out. This is why we recommend replacing the sway bar bushings anytime you replace the control arm bushings, they are so cheap and easy to do with the control arm bushings since you have them unbolted anyway.
