a/c problem - need advice

2004 MCS, premium package (i.e., automatic climate control). A/C system not cooling. Low speed fan comes on, passenger compartment air fan comes on, and compressor engages and stays engaged. What is the problem? I would think that if the refrigerant were low (or missing) which could explain the lack of cooling, the pressure switch would preclude the compressor from engaging, yet it does in fact engage. Whats going on?

You won't know till you check the pressures....
The ac on my 05 can keep my car beer cooler cold....condensation on the windows and all...
It is super important that if the system is ever opened, the dryer is replaced, and the system be put under a strong vacume before getting filled with the proper amount of coolant....too much will result in poor performance.
