Lost my power steering today in a parking lot. Has this happened to anyone else? My car is an 07 w/ 60k miles. Luckily i was driving slow when it happened, still i muscled it home about 10 miles...something i would not recommend.

 

I had it happen twice. Both times I turned off the car for a few minutes, turned it back on and it was fine. Told the dealer about it but they couldn't find anything wrong. It's been fine ever since.

 

After sitting overnight its working again. But it sounds like a common problem on earlier cars that could be a safety issue.
