I have read a lot of posts regarding the amount of noises coming from these cars!
In finally got one. After my dealer replaced my clutch thet went out at 15k miles I noticed this rattling noise coming from the engine compartment! I showed the dealer and they worked on it for two days and told me it was the torque arm inserts! These inserts were on there before they tore part the car to replace the clutch. So the dealer took out the inserts and the rattle was still there although not as pronounced!! so I complained and they put sound deadening in the center console and the firewall area, that quieted it down a bit but it's still there just really muffled.
So I decided to put back the inserts since I really like the way they make the car feel, and the damn rattle is back again!!
I have personnaly crawled all over this car looking for this rattle.
Does anyone have any ideas?

Ok I tore apart the mini this eve and took a stethoscope to listen to where the rattle is coming from.
It is coming from behind the heater core by the firewall.
Does anyone know where I can get a diaggram og that assemble so I can take it all apart to examine it further?
