Ticking noise

Ticking noise
So I was looking at an 07 mcs today and at idle it gives off a pretty noticeable ticking noise. No check engine light and doesn't sound like a valve tick. And it doesn't seem normal. Car has 58,000 on it. Any ideas?

My '08 MC does the same thing at idle. It comes and goes. But I never did ask the dealer about it. Hope someone can chime in...

I understand that the ticking is produced by the direct injection process, and is normal.

Ya i have heard that about the direct injection but I've also heard that dealerships have an upgraded software or something for mini and the ticking.g goes away with that
