Coolant Overflow leaking?

I just replaced another coolant overflow tank ... this one was not even 3 years old. I'm pretty sure of that since I put the previous one in. Early cars were known for this problem but there was supposedly a newer 'fixed' tank. Well, either the fix isn't good, or the replacement came from the old batch.

But since some may have never seen this problem, or know what to look for, here's what we're talking about.

We're looking at the back side of the tank here. So the problem might not be visible unless you know what to look for by reaching around the tank and feeling the seam. In this case I noticed the tell-tale signs of coolant residue on the heat sheilding below the tank. You may never notice a drip on the floor under the car if the very small amount of seepage boils off on the heat sheild. This owner was loosing a couple of ounces a week once he started watching the level.

He decided to replace with Forge this time!

Color is right for a newer tank....maybe just a bad glue job....crappy desgin still though...
If overfilled, they do tend to split/fail from what I have heard.
