Random Beeping Noise

Lately my 2004 mini cooper s has been making this weird and quick three or four BEEPBEEPBEEP sound and I can't figure out why it's doing that! It varies too, sometimes it'll beep once I start my engine, sometimes while I'm driving on the freeway, etc.

Anyone else have this issue?

The only audible indicators I have heard on the mini is for the door open with the lights on, or as a temperature warning for near-freezing conditions.

The temperature warning is more like a 'ding' though and I think it only goes off once. Check your temperature to see if it is reading correctly, maybe the sensor is screwed up. Check your tach the next time you hear it. I don't have the onboard computer in my 03, so there may be more warnings if you have that.

Does the 04 have a seatbelt warning? It could be that too.

Otherwise I would suspect any after market stuff you have. Radar detector, head unit, amp...

Are you sure it's not your cell?

When I hear 3 quick beeps I think an electronic device's batteries are dying.

The low tire pressure warning will ding, but only once. And there will be a light on in your center dash.

Yea I don't think it's any of those because I live in California and it's nowhere near freezing temperatures, and I don't have a seat belt warning either. My car does have a lot of aftermarket parts so that may be why to, thanks guys for the input. and no it's not my cellphone lol

I believe you have activated the self destruct sequence.
