Rubber Grommet under MSD pack

So, some of the grommets under my MSD coil pack seem to be falling apart and I'm noticing some small oil leaks that appear to come from right where the grommets are breaking. Assuming that I simply need to replace these grommets, does anyone know where I can get them? I spent a solid few hours at my local hardware shops asking around about where I could get something similar to replace it. Thanks for any help!

Assuming you still have it, will the ones from your original coil pack fit ? If you had to use them for the MSD, then you will probably have to buy them from MINI.

They are about .75 each. Also, need to be careful not to over tighten those bolts. Doing so will inseat the brass threaded gromets in the cover.

If oil is leaking out....I think someone ocertighted the msd pack....the rubber doughnots are just big orings that work as spacers and to minimize vibration....heck I used the oem ones on mine....oem had 2 per bolt...mad needed 1...
If oil is leaking from the holes, bet the bolts were overtightned, and cracked the valve cover.....
Many old time hardware stores with the drawers of bolts etc should have new ones....

This is one of the big downsides to the MSD coil pack. If you look at the stock bolts there is a sleeve that the rubber rings go on to isolate the coil pack. When you replace them with regular bolts for the MSD the rubber isn't held in place and is just compressed causing them to split and not isolate the coil pack. This is why I use the Screamin Demon coil pack.

Not sure why everyone is not hung up on rubber grommets? I have had mine installed for months now and just used some spacers, working just fine
