Hi this is my first post

I have a 06 S with 70K and the check engine light was on and these are the codes I pulled.

P1477 Leakage Diagnostic Pump Reed Switch Did Not Open

P2400 Evaporative Emission System Leak Detection Pump Control Circuit/Open

I was under the car and found the Leakage Diagnostic Pump and checked the hoses and wiring I could find, then tapped on it with a wrench What do you think I should do or check next or do I just replace the pump?

I've seen a few of these pumps fail, but you need to make sure you have no holes or cracks in any of the lines or charcoal tank.

 

hey thanks for the reply. I will get under there and look again. So if I dont find any cracks or damage on the lines or the tank then the pump needs to be replaced right.
