Bad Battery??

Okay,
I searched the forums and so far it sounds like my battery is dying/dead but my situation is slightly different from what I've read.

I have a 2004 R53 and it has stock battery. Not sure if it's the original. It's too dark to do an extensive check right now as it's after midnight.

With all this heavy rain I discovered my hatch is leaking on the passenger side and moister/water is getting it. There is heavy condensation/moisture beneath the carpet where the battery is. I dried the terminals off thoroughly as well as everything else. Tried to crank and it just clicks, lights flash rapidly and my windows row down. The terminals do no look fouled and look very clean.

96% it's the battery but what do you think?
Also, any idea how to fix the leaking hatch? I've noticed moisture builds up in the passenger tail light as well.

Thanks.

It sounds like the battery. I've had two battery failures and the symptoms were different both times. When the battery fails, it can seem like your car is haunted. Headlights stay on when car is turned off. Clicking noises but no start. The needle on all the meters flicker. The windshield wiper moved like a robot. The windshield come down but don't go up. Yeah, it's weird.

Look at the 3rd brake light.
There are alot of reports that most hatch leaks are around the light.
Bad battery.

Yep. It was the battery. The green light was still on, indicating that it was good but, it wasn't. Bought a new battery from MINI (only $10 more than the autozone battery).

Starts up fine now
