03 MCS. 78,000 miles. the other day I got home at night the I turned off the headlights and the dash lights did not go out. They remain on to this day. I turned the down with the rheostat but they never go out. All the fuses are fine, the car is completely stock. No mods at all. Can anyone help. btw the car has a sports package, premium package.

 

oh yeah and the turn signals work on the outside of the car but the light on the dash and doesn't flash or click anymore.

 

How old is the battery in your car.

Our cars exhibit some very weird symptoms when the battery starts to fail.

Interesting, but even if the battery is getting older when the vehicle is running it runs of the alternator not the battery?

After I posted the thread I took a closer look at the fuses. There appears to be three fuses for the instrument panel and number 5 fuse is ok but it has no more juice going to it. And the lights are now permanently off.

It seems a little crazy. Is there a relay that operates with the dash lights?

 

Well I checked my battery it is good. I disconnected battery and it works. Great.
