Another Windshield Question

I've seen threads about how MINI windshields are prone to chips, cracks etc. and are replaced frequently. The windshield on my '02 MCS is badly scratched and is scheduled to be replaced next week. Is there anything I should watch out for during this window replacement to make sure it is done properly?
