Burning smell

Hi everyone! I have a 2003 MCS and lately it's been smelling as if something is burning, especially on the highway when I get on the gas a bit. It doesn't smell like a clutch, but rather a really thick burning smell. Any opinions are greatly appreciated! Thanks!

Sounds like the typical sulfur buildup smell under hard acceleration. It might be more obvious if you are on the interstate as opposed to short shifts driving in town. Best bet is to get a mechanic friend to take a ride with you and let them see what it smells like.

Just a precaution, try checking your harmonic damper(crank pulley). It'll smell like burnt rubber on its way out.
