Still looking for a sticky.
SIM 120509 might be an interesting document to read, if you can dig it up.

That is some great info!
However, the ZIP file seems to be no longer available for download.
It says file/link is invalid or deleted - or something like that.
Would it be possible to upload it again?
Thanks!

I'm not sure where the Zip went. I reuploaded it and updated the OP with the current URL: http://www.mediafire.com/?fwft6t68zwlqa04

Update 9/08

Anyone know of a TSB on O2 Sensors?? Molly is staying the night @ MINI of Portland and their opening up a PUMA Case, this is the 4th CEL for a P013A.

UPDATE:
MoP found the Gasket from the Catalytic Converter to the Exhaust (muffler end) leaking, R&R Gasket, Test Drove her 50mi. rechecked the faults, no codes stored.

Cudos to Jarid, he always handles all of my concerns as valid, and always takes such good care of Molly!!

anyone have SIM 120210? supposedly it has to do with using the new BMW Group Carbon Blaster to shoot walnut shells into your intake ports and clean of carbon buildup.

Good SIM find! I've been looking for this info for awhile.

SIM120210 Cooper S with N14 – Diagnosis for Misfire Faults

SIM120210 N14 Direct Injection & Combustion Chamber Cleaning Procedure attachment

I updated the Google doc spreadsheet and the zip archive.

Wow...
"Additionally, MINI USA recommends that this service [fuel injector cleaning] be performed yearly (on a customer-pay basis) on N14 vehicles which currently do not exhibit the negative harmful effects of carbon build-up, to maintain MINI’s dynamic performance and maximize fuel economy."

EDIT: ah, thought it was referring to the walnut blasting... "just" injector cleaning. I actually don't see anything about the carbon blaster in either of those.

My SA was just talking about the Walnut Shells yesterday, I was asking him about an "S" Auto and he said this service should be done around 60,000 mi. and that they use Walnut Shells, the Walnut Shells will burn up as opposed to 'Sandblasting' the parts clean.

Thanks! I just acquired my 2009 R55 w/21K on the odometer. This should help me plot my strategy over the next 12 months, before the extended warranty kicks in.

Forewarned is forearmed!

The similar (but different) 330110 is one more-last thing I'll have the dealer look at before the warranty goes away next month.

i hope that isn't the issue for me...out of warranty, looks like a big job for a DIYer and will take longer than usual for a mechanic to work on (meaning higher cost)......*fingers crossed*

hopefully it's 330107; if it is i may upgrade to energy bushings and a larger rear sway bar to improve cornering. it's a shame the MCS RSB is only 1-2mm larger in diameter compared to the Justa's and One's.. (I have a UK Mini One) ..won't have an affordable OEM upgrade like I did when I had an Accord sedan and upgraded to the Acura TL Type-S RSB....it was basically a "goodbye to understeer". anyway, just rambling at this point hope all of you guys have your issues sorted. best of luck.

Since the spring force for a torsion bar goes up with the 4th power of the diameter, a change of 1-2mm can actually be pretty substantial. E.g., 22mm ^4 = 234256, 24mm ^4 = 331776, 1.4 times as stiff!

Very interesting. I can't find those three yet but I am interested in the Sun Visors one as both of my visor mirror cover hinges have broken and they hardly ever get used.

The dealer replaced both front sun-visors even though there was no problem the original set.

Will they do these SIMs outside warranty?
