Where to get new valve cover?
Where to get new valve cover?
Ok, I'm a dork. I didn't read the directions on the new MSD ignition instructions and ended up cracking the plastic valve cover when I installed the
new coil. Now I have oil spewing out onto the header. Anyone have a source where I can get a used cover or replacement one other than a dealer?
I just checked and the crack doesn't go to any edges. It runs vertical for about two inches. Any thoughts on sealing from inside with strong epoxy?
Thanks

People have repaired them, you have to search. As for buying one, this is a junk yard part to me, either local or online. WayMotorWorks probably has them.

JB Weld might be able to patch your valve cover. That stuff has repaired/fixed many problems for me.

Next time you try to install coil, put some silicone seal on each rubber washer to hold them in place. Must use the rubber washers/spacers.
There is a Mini salvage yard in CA called MiniWorld.
There is a thead about them in forum.
Ed probally has a VC.
Prices range $50 - 100.00
