Does the boot open from the inside?
Went to get out yesterday and the door wouldn't open. Rolled the window down and opened it from the outside. Called and will get it in to the shop, this week. However, thinking about worst case scenarios, how would a person get out if everything decided to quit? I imagine climbing to the boot area and releasing it manually but how, or is there a way? I don't want to live in fear of being trapped, when ever I get in. Is there a way to manually get out, if everything decides to stop working.
Thanks
Kathy

I'm sure someone else has more authoritative information, but I think that by 2005 there was a cable release for the trunk that could be found under the back seat. You pulled and you're problem was solved. My 2003 has no such feature, so I hope if it happens I have windows or the sunroof open!
Thankyou, thankyou !! I felt silly posting my dilema and of course I know about glass breaking tools. Did you need to slip anything under the seat to help pull it up, or was it very simple. Elbow room and leverage would seem a bit tight under certain circumstances, especially if unable to open either door.
