Removing fuel line from HPFP

The manual says to use special tool 130250. Has anyone had removed this line without the tool? I tried pressing in on each with small screwdrivers and that did not work. Any suggestions appreciated.

special tool will help from damaging tabs that lock the feed line to hpfp. some will use hose pliers and be very gentle when applying pressure to both locking tabs. if you damage them you will have to replace the feed line as well as you may run the risk of the line not seating completely to hpfp or potentially coming off which would be no good.
