What did I kill?
What did I kill?
I posted this earlier in the wrong forum...
I was replacing my rear speakers on a R56, and while pulling the rear hatch side panel that has the 12V connector and courtesy light, I think I shorted something (presumably with the 12V connector) because the courtesy light immediately went dark.
I didn't think much of it; figured I blew a fuse somewhere, but now the car will not start. In fact when I put the key in, I don't hear accessory items powering up like it normally would have done. When I press the start/stop button, I hear a click sound in the engine area, but nothing else. I don't get anything from the OBD-II connection, either.
I can put the parking lights on, but the headlights do not come on. I can lock/unlock the doors, but I cannot roll up or down the windows. I was able to play the radio, but now that won't even work.
Have I blown a fuse, maybe in the main fuse block like F60 or F67? Or have I done worse? Any help is appreciated. Thanks!

Of course I checked the batt--
doh! I'm relieved and humbled. I just jumped it, and sure enough, it's the battery. This is my third time taking the back apart and last time, I left the battery connected as well, but I guess I did something different this time.
I was worried because of what had happened in the back that I didn't start at the beginning. Thanks for solving my issue!
