timing tension bolt and...
good morning. So, my wife and I attended a mini/bmw tech session on Saturday. it was great to meet some of the local fellows. as our mini's went up on the lift, the techs shined a light directly under the right suspension arm to find that both our mini's were leaking oil at the timing tension bolt. mine was much worse then hers leaving an oily mess underneath my car. These are both 2010 Mini Cooper S models with just under 4000 miles. We had both of them serviced under warranty yesterday. Is this going to be a reoccuring issue?
also, later in the day, i accidentally drove over a curb that was completely unscene. it was one of those, low on one side, higher on the other. as i drove over it, the front came down pretty hard, bottoming out underneath the car, bang... i took a look underneath and didn't see anything unusual. Should i be concerned of any damage to any sort of mounts, suspension, etc...?
Thanks.

The tensioner bolts are backing out due to the factory not properly tightning them to the correct spec. After they are tightned there shouldn't happen again.
As far as you hitting the curb just check the strut mounts and make sure they are ok. other than that you should be ok ball joint is the only other thing at that point that I would worry about maybe being loose. Oh. and get an alignment just in case. you dont wanna eat up your tires.
