I've searched the forums for a while and have come up short.. any suggestions on how to tighten this? 2002 Mini Cooper S.

 

There is supposed to be some kind of adjustment, on the shaft that the mirror pivots,
to increase the friction and eliminate wiggles or vibrations.

I'm going to assume that by carefully removing the mirror from the door you'll be able to access the adjuster.
