So, I forgot my wallet in my car in the garage tonight. When i went to retrieve it, I noticed that while my door is open the Spedometer rapidly pulses between around -3 to 3 mph.

Since then, I've revisited Momo, and it hasn't reoccurred. Anyone have any ideas?

 

The tail of my English Bulldog does the same thing before a ride in the MINI....

 

I think it may be the computer coming out of sleep mode if the car has been shut down for a while. My '06 does this and my husband's former '98 Vette did it as well when the door was opened.

 

Alot of MINI's do this when the Computer wakes up, they also do this if you have a weak battery. May be time to have your battery tested, just to be safe.

 

As I had just recently drove it, I will assume it wasn't in "Sleep mode" and that This weather is exacerbating an old battery.
