Water Pump Replacement

I have a standard Clubman (non-turbo), 63k mi, and the water pump is leaking. I have done lots of water pumps, but this is the first one with a friction gear that drives it. I can not find a workshop manual for the R55 (if someone knows where I can get one, let me know!), so I need to know how to remove the friction gear and water pump. It is hard to see or get to, because of the frame - do I need to raise or lower the engine? Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks,
jah48GP

I'm not aware of an aftermarket manual for any GEN2 yet ...

All I can say is the dealer replaced mine, under warranty, and it only took a few hours... So I would think that they didnt move the engine.

I was under the assumption on a lift its pretty easy to get to... probably just remove the wheel well liner, but its hard to say.

As stated above, I dont think there is a manual out yet, even though its been 3 years lol

Last I spoke with Bentley in early December they say they are working on it but have no release date scheduled. I have been hearing this same thing for more than two years now. The model line is now 4 model years old so I really do not understand what their problem is.

With that said search ebay, I know there are at time the OEM shop maunals on disc available. These are the "Technical Information Systems" discs provided to the dealers for repairs.

Thanks, I ordered the CD. Hopefully it is the right one this time - I bought one last week and although they said it covered the R55, it did not - they gave me my money back, but I wasted a week waiting for it, etc.

Did you notice if it covered the R56?
I'd like to have something, even basics, for mine.

Good luck with your water pump?
