Parking Sensors Not Working

I know this is a self-induced failure, but... Last weekend I installed a hitch on my Clubman which required disconnecting all electrical cables associated with the rear bumper cover: license plate lights, comfort sensor(remote), and the two IR parking proximity sensors. Upon reassembly, the the driver display indicates a failure with the parking sensors and they don't work. I've triple checked the connections...the connectors are clean..no corrosion...and fully seated. ??? Any suggestions?

Have you scanned the car to see if there's a fault code inhibiting the use of the parking sensors?

I can scan for OBDll codes, but since this has nothing to do with engine management it doesn't show up. It may have to wait until my next required dealer visit (100 miles and 8 months away).
