Hi,

My name is Richard Horvath and i live in the Netherlands Europe, I`m new to this site but i have been reading the posts for a while.

I see you guys help eachother really well with car issues, now it happend to me so i hope there is a Brainiac around here that is willing to help and guide me.

I have the strangest problem with my mini, it wont start. With mini`s thats not so strange but i cant find the problem. Believe it or not i have been searching for the problem for two months now.(not fulltime)

My problem is that i cannot read the ISN number and Password of the ECU using INPA. (Not even with an complete swap with other set DME, EWS, BCI, Steeringcolumn)

It gives me an error: ERROR_ECU_REJECTED

for:
ISN Number (ECU)
Password (ECU)

Used an oscilloscoop to look at the Buscommunications, they seem to be allright (random signal but it was an signal)

checked:
EWS
DME
Bc1

those are all good, i get the signal from the EWS to the DME good so the key is recognized. (pin on ECU B clamp)

When i start INPA to check EWS it says non matching systems, halffunction may occur??

That is pretty normal because it cant compare the ISN from the EWS and DME. How come i cant read the ISN Number?.

when reading the EWS memory it throws me a " 15 no power reset malfunction " wich after every reset reoccurs.

After i syncronized the car it still wont start it says, no matching starting values, because it cant read the DME ISN number.

what do you guys recon? i dont know what to do anymore, i just can`t afford to bring it to the dealer because i am a student.
