When I turn my ignition on or off, my windows and sunroof automatically roll down. Which means I can't park my car with the windows rolled up. Its going to be a problem since its suppose to rain this weekend. Anybody know what might cause this? BC1 maybe? I'm Planning to take my mini down to waymotorworks if I can't fix her myself but I would love to not have to take a whole day driving to atlanta if possible.

I don't know what would cause the windows to roll down by themselves, but have you tried holding the key in the 'lock' position in your door after you get out? That may close them back up at least.

...Not really a solution, I know, but that'd at least keep the rain out while you're parked..

 

Haha well funny you mention the key fob. that was the problem. the button had come loose from the solder, but it still had contact. It was being permanently held down to unlock my car.

Also unfortunately my car wont lock from the outside. Not be because of the permanent unlock thing though. this has been going on for a few months. and i cant stop it so my comfort close option doesnt work. so i am really glad it was a simple fix for my windows rolling down.

 

How old is your car battery?? Minis do strange things when the battery starts to go south. FWIW.
