Help needed with possible short in 05 s

Have a friend of mine looking at the car he is a mini mech for a possible short that keeps frying my PS pumps harness ok but when the car is off and the key in the acc position if I turn the wheel my fron tunning lights blink while turning the steering wheel ? Ran schematics on wiring seems there is no way that this could cause it seperate circuits. Any Ideas guys and girls.

Since the PS pump is such a big electric motor, it might be dropping the voltage in the entire car...a weak alternator, an idling car, and an older battery my be all combining to cause this....
Hook up voltmeter and watch the voltage of the entire car when you normally see the flickerin!! Hopefully it is just the voltage dropping from the big load...
Good luck!!

The pump wiring harness can chafe...if you have the car on jack stands I bet you can examine the wires that go to the pump on the lower portion.
It sounds like a good idea to have a good set of eyes look at it before spending big $$ on a new pump.
