2004 MCS Boot Release with dead battery ?
Hey folks - got a tricky one here!
My battery is stone dead - even after a long jump start - it won't start - pretty sure it isn't the starter but a battery issue.
Anyways the question: is there any way to manually release the boot if there is absolutely no juice to the battery? With no battery, the key fobs do not work. Also, since there is no "trunk pop" for the boot, I think I'm stuck.
I was going to go to costco and buy a suitable battery (Interstate red top R43) but then my problem remains, how do I open the boot so that I can access the battery? DOH!
thanks for you thoughts.

Most MCS have a release cable under the rear seat. My 06 does not.
You have to use your key to enter the car then you have to get under the back seat to get to the release cable.
With jumper cables connected, at the engine compartment points, you should be able to unlock the doors with the power supplied by the other battery through the jumper cables.
