Help me please asap!! Supercharger gasket
Help me please asap!! Supercharger gasket
Hey people,
I just finished changing a bunch of stuff on my car, and one of those things was the supercharger gasket for the inlet tube. After I was done, I started her up and it was chugging like crazy, had a weird idle and seemed to be accelerating on its own etc. It was also misfiring.
After reading a bit, I see others had similar issues and the problem was the supercharger gasket not seated properly to create a seal. Can you guys look at my pictures and tell me if it looks seated properly and the right way around??? Maybe I have it backwards!???
Thanks!

Put the gasket in place in its recess in the plastic intake horn and install it that way rather than on the sc. If I remember from when we had mine off in the garage the intake tube has a recess the gasket fits into in a very specific manner.
As far as I can see, there are no grooves or slots for the gasket to fit into only one way. There is only this little tab sticking out of the gasket. So look at these pics, and tell me which way it goes around. The second pictured method feels wrong to me.
