Yes I have one on my 2005 MCS. I have the one with the nipple on it for fitting a tube on it. Don't need ramps anymore. I also like the fact that I can drain the oil when it's HOT.

Did you spend $25 on it? Trying to find a cheaper option

I'm running one as well without the nipple. Slick little thing and makes oil changes much easier. I bought it from their site. I looked around and they were all around that price.

great product

totally eliminates the 'stuck bung' problem on a GEN1 and if you use the 'nipple' version makes for a very neat oil change (a little hose allows you to be SURE where that stream goes )

I've got an extra I bought for a guy that turned up to already have one on his car when he showed up - $25 and I'll pay shipping, PM me if you want it. SOLD

How far down does the valve with the nipple extend beyond the oil pan?

Thanks

down - not at all

on a GEN1 the drain points straight back so the Fumoto just sticks straight back and is protected by the bottom of the pan. Basic valve sticks back about an inch, and the N version adds another 1/2.

do NOT try a Fumoto on a GEN2 tho - there the drain is on the bottom of the pan (with a flush fitting plug). You would not want a valve hanging down - very easy to wipe it off

One caveat...I have been told that if you have the nipple/hose one, you need to remove it to jack up the motor to add a pulley....so if you are going to do a pulley...get the short one....or install it after you have done the pulley. But still a great Mod...Still on my list of some-day.....very slick!!

I have the Fumato valve on my 2003 MC. Oil changes are much easier now without the stuck drain plug problem.

I use the Fumoto with the nipple on my 2002 MCS. Makes life much easier since I also have the Mini Madness skid plate. I can open the valve thru one of the holes in the skid plate. The rubber drain hose is long enough to extend beyond the back of the plate making an oil change a breeze. I use a zip tie to hold the hose out of harms way when not in use. Great product.

Yes, F-106 (unless you want the one with the nipple for use with a hose, that would be a F106N):

Accessing flipper part

The cars not needing the ramps any more once the valve is installed, how do you access the flipper? On our car, there's not enough ground clearance to try to reach under and we're not even lowered.

The other question is how are some able to fit the container straight from the hose? I'm guessing you're on ramps then?

Interested if anyone can shoot a pic of the ones with the nipple hose attachment that's been installed, thanks in advance.

This would be for an 05' MCS.

I plan on doing my Oil Friday night, will try and snap a few pictures of it with the hose and post here if I remember

what about using this one 316L for if you have the fan duct kit. this would make it unnecessary to remove the fan duct kit to change the oil, and make it easy to get the hose on and off as you could just point it sideways.... (2005 MC)

on second thought, the back of the fan duct may have to be removed as it is pretty darn close to the drain plug, and i'm not sure that it would fit anyway....

Oh, if your going to change your supercharger pulley after installing the fumoto valve, then before lifting the engine you have to remove the fumoto valve for clearance purposes, otherwise it will hit the power steering motor cooling fan.
I use the 'nipple' (there I said it) type with a short piece of hose, makes changing oil easy with no mess.

FYI for those that get this drain valve: I recently installed the PS Fan Duct Kit from Moss Mini, and this duct covers the drain plug. I figured I could get the qwikvalve with the rotatable head so that I could point it sideways and be able to attach the hose to it for draining without removing the duct.

It does work, however you have to trim some of the duct away to fit around the valve. The part being trimmed is fairly out of the way of road debris, so that shouldn't be an issue. I can put up a pic if needed.

I have the valve and the duct but the valve I have does not include the barb and drain hose....no cutting required, but I do have to remove the duct to drain the oil.
