Had the same thing happen in my wife's 2003 Cooper, loyal local mechanic said 90% of the time it's the front driver's side wheel speed sensor, I changed that sensor and he was right

Digging up old things.
This happened a few times with my 03 MC. It would come on, stay on for a few days, then go away. It hasn't done it for a while now though, probably over a month ago at least. Is this still likely a problem with the sensor? If I haven't been getting the lights, should I still replace it?

Edit: They haven't come on since I had the car in for a tune up. Could that have fixed the problem?

Might try pulling and cleaning the sensors. If they don't come out easily, you
could damage them and this strategy could backfire on you, though.
