Help! Cooper S engine wiring harness

What is this plug, and why can't I find the other end it plugs into!!!

That is the coolant temp sensor connector. It is hard to find because the sensor is kinda hidden underneath the inter cooler cover.

Side of the head, behind the thermostat housing!!! Duh!! forgot about that, Thanks!

I'm having trouble with the wiring harness on my '09 S. I need to change the (infamous) thermostat housing and I can't get the harness off. HELP!!
