temp guage diping down below normal.

Okay i was driving back from picnic this afternoon and i was driving up to richmond hill on 401. Day was humid and it 27 degrees. My a/c is shut but my rad fan i know it work. After driving 50 kmph on the highway for at least good 20mins, the speed starts to pick up. I notice my temp guage suddenly deep down cooler then swing back to normal half way .. I said thats strange... Did maintaiend 125 kmph and after a few min i notice the guqge starta to move down again..try to feel the car if i lose some power while it was doing it.. But never notice anything..

So it went back to normal again.. And while i hit major road i never notice it again.. it could be the sticky thermostat issue. but did do some research but never come accross a thread about temp guage diping to cooler status and going back to normal or staying below normal, but temp guage rising above normal. is there any issue i can consider like sensor i can check or anthing?

need you opinion and help..

is the fan working on both low and high speeds?

or is just high working and it kicks to high for a time ... cools things .. kicks off .... repeat the cycle versus staying on low all the time?????

loss of low speed in the fan controller - very very common problem

Thermostat stuck Open... or a faulty Coolant temp sensor or sensor to gauge connection... I have also reset the cluster before because the gauge read consistently wrong and after that it was re calibrated correctly.
