Hi guys,

Please help me, I drove my mini out of the driveway this morning and I heard a loud clanking noise so I pulled it back into the garage and looked underneath my car....

Long and behold, I couldn't believe there was a bolt missing from one of the rear control arms.. I think that is what it is called.

I found a picture and I highlighted what i'm talking about that is missing.

 

Happened on my friend's R56 as well. Just fell out while about 400 miles from home.

 

About the only thing you can do is get one from your dealer and install it and then take the car somewhere for an alignment. And make sure the bolt is tightened down to spec.

 

Tow it to the dealer and let them take care of it if it's still under warranty. Otherwise, do what schatzy62 said.

 

Thanks guys, I had it towed to the dealer and it was fixed within an hour. I was surprised that there was no other damage that came out of this.
