I pulled off my front lower bumper today. Of course something goes wrong.

When i unplugged my temperature sensor, and bulbs, my car had plenty of bulb out lights as well as



Now, the temperature read -40 disconnected to the probe. Well, i reconnected it and it still reads -40 and that light is still on.

I read the manual and its orange, not blinking. Car is on two jackstands (fronts are on jacks)

You think this engine warning is related to it thinking its -40 degrees? How the freak do i fix the -40. Does it have to be recalibrated or something?

 

You could try unplugging your battery for a while and then reconnecting everything and see if it goes away. If the cel is still on get a code reader and see what code it's throwing.

 

good thing i got a scan gauge... will check tomorrow.

Where do i look up the codes? Or do i have to call the dealership (last thing i want to do)

 

That is a good question and one that I don't know. I think some people here on NAM know what certain codes are so you might have to ask around. You could also try google.
