Hatch wiring harness wearing away paint
Hatch wiring harness wearing away paint
Hi all,
There's a wiring harness between my hatch and the inner roof on my 2007 Cooper, surrounded by corrugated plastic. I just noticed a few weeks ago that it has been wearing down the paint on the body interior. Since I have the Mini Next extended warranty, as it's called in Canada, till July 2013, I'm hopefully covered on this.
Has anyone else seen paint wear like this? It's definitely from the plastic sheath around the harness, since the wear marks match the corrugations. I don't want it to cut through the primer, as it already seems to have exposed primer below the paint.
