fluid-filled engine mount - question
The fluid-filled engine mount on my 2004 MCS has barfed its guts out at 96K. Will replace with OE. Various posters have claimed it is necessary to remove wheel and wheel well liner to gain access. True? Seems to me that as long as I can get underneath (with ramps or jackstands) to remove the female 12 mm Torx that goes through the frame rail that I should be OK. Anyone with experience? TIA.

I just replaced mine this past weekend. I didn't remove the wheel but I did put my car on jack stands and removed some screws around the liner to allow for easier access to the Torx bolt underneath. If you can get to it without removing the liner then go for it, for me my car is entirely too low to get underneath so I used the jack stands and I just removed 5 of the plastic screws around the liner to be able to peel it back some.
