MINI Canada now offers MINI NEXT protection on 2007 lease buy outs.

I am considering doing this, so I have arranged to have the car inspected tomorrow.

Apparently there is a very high standard the car has to meet before qualifying for the MN protection. Even brakes, windshields and tire wear are factors, even though these items would not be covered under the plan as they are wear and tear items. Things that do not meet the standard have to be replaced.

So, I’m wondering if anyone has gone through this process yet and can tell me what type of things would possibly have to be replaced.

At the moment, the car is still under warranty, so if something is failing and in need of replacement should it not be covered by warranty?

I have a bad feeling that I’m about to get soaked by the dealer.

Any insights would be appreciated.
