03 S with the ASC Light stuck on
03 S with the ASC Light stuck on
The car has started acting like it's running out of fuel at light throttle. Push the throttle down a little more or nail it to red line and it runs like a champ. But cruise a long in traffic and it will shut off for a second as if you were spinning the tires taking off. Tonight I realized the ASC light was stuck on and won't shut off. No other lights are on.
Any ideas?
I read some where about cleaning the speed sensors, but there was no explanation as to how to clean them or what to clean them with.

So why no replys?
I take a shower daily.
If I pull the rotor off, can I get to the end of the sensor that is picking up the spinning of the hub?
I was told the metalic off the brake pads could be causing the sysytem to act up.
Thanks for any replys

OK, so no one had any answers.
I took the car to Autozone and they read the computer. It had a P0108 code which other threads on here pointed to the Map Sensors. So, $149.00 later and 20 minutes of time at the most and the light is off and the motor is running smooth as ever. The one Map Sensor is on the front of the intake just below the intercooler and pretty close to the middle of the engine. You have to press the seal for the hood down a little to get to the torx screws. The other Map Sensor is between the cylinder head and the air box. There is a tube and some wires on top of the sensor. Hardest part of this job was making sure I didn't drop any of the small torx screws used to hold the sensors in place.
I hope this helps somebody.
