FYI - Beware KYB strut mounts

I have a cracked passenger side strut mount, so I ordered a pair of KYB replacements since they were inexpensive. I got what I paid for

I was in the process of putting them in, leaned on one a little while tightening it up to the strut, and the bearing came loose in the mount! It jiggles all over the place in there...

I put my car back together with the old cracked mount, and ordered a pair of IE fixed camber plates. At this rate, I will be an expert in strut disassembly/assembly

I had a similar experience but in my Lexus. Ordered KYB struts and mounts. Struts were fine; mounts were crap.

Thanks for the heads up. I've used many sets of KYB struts & shocks on different cars, but never strut mounts.

FWIW the IE fixed camber plates are very beefy...
