I did a search, even on google, and can't really find anything pertaining to the Mini and this check engine code.

I ran the car pretty low on fuel and went to fill her up. Filled her to the top and got back in the car and got this code. It was also very hot out for the past few days... I don't know if that has anything to do with it but I figured I'd give some background.

Any of the Mini service guys have any clue about this code? Is it something that might go away or is this serious?

Thanks!

Disconnected the battery for over an hour and immediately get the light again.

Here's a similar BMW reference, but it does not quite make sense to me: http://forums.bimmerforums.com/forum....php?t=1369038. It indicates the secondary airflow pump is malfunctioning. There is a PDF reference a ways down this forum posting. Perhaps a hose came loose under your bonnet?

I'm not sure if the P codes are universal. Here's a link that has a good listing: http://www.bba-reman.com/content.asp...emisioncontrol.

ADDED: Another larger list: http://www.bimmerboard.com/forums/posts/517875.

Went through and detached, inspected, and reattached every vacuum hose I could reach. Didn't find any problems but apparently I solved one... The light is gone!
