Random blue tube???

After a little problem with my 03' mini today i had to leave it in the parking lot at my work over night. I was leaving a stop light on my way to work, heard a thud and my ses lit up. I only drove maybe another 2 blocks into the parking lot where it sat. There is oil on the passanger side of the engine and a large pool on the cover underneath. I can see a blue hose hanging under the passanger side frame rail below the motor mount area. It doesn't look like it connects to anything, or the other end has gone missing. Does anyone know what this is for? The only mods i have are alta v2 intake and occ. which have been installed on the car for a few weeks with no problems. Any suggestions on where i should start looking i need my car working again!

Saw that today while addressing another issue. I'm humbled to say I'm not sure what it is, but it attached to something below the engine bay super structure, along side the engine on the passenger side. I'd love to know what it is. In 4 years that's the first time I've ever noticed it.

It sounds like an aftermarket hose because none of your stock hoses should be blue. Do you have blue hoses for your OCC? I don't think you would have a substantial amour of oil loss if one of those came off though. Is your car idling lower or rough? If so you might want to check all of your OCC hose connections. This would indicate a vacuum leak.

Oil cooler? Look for a little radiator under the car. The other side would go to where the oil filter is.

I can't tell if you bought it used, but if a hose popped off an oil cooler, it might look alot like that.

It is not any hose for the occ. those are routed on top on the valve cover. This one is attached right under the frame rail on the passanger side almost below the motor mount. i did buy it used not sure if it was replaced or not. The oil cooler seems like the most logical choice judging by the amount of oil lost. I'm having it taking to a local mechanic that had worked on bmw's for over 25 years, see what he says.

The only reason I mentioned the OCC hoses was due to your list of mods and I thought you said it wasn't attached. So I was suggesting it may have fallen down there from above.
