On the way home from work tonight my 07 MCS threw an engine malfunction code. The code is CC-ID 0 31. The car also does not have as much power. It feels like the turbo is not kicking in. A few miles before the engine light came on I could hear a whoosh sound every time i pressed in the clutch as I was driving. I have never noticed this noise before. I have gotten this code before but the car has always run fine and it has eventually reset itself in a day or two. Any clue why I have a loss of power all of a sudden?

 

Is the car in "Limp Mode" right now ?

 

Im not sure. I was got it up to about 50 mph and the car would rev over 4k, but im not to sure if it was in limp mode. I have never experienced limp mode in a car.

 

Dealership trip or mechanic or a code reader to find out what code.
