My 04 MCS has been experiencing this tapping for awhile now. From searching on NAM, it seems like a lot of you guys are also getting this too. Does my tapping sound like a flywheel issue?

 

Just sounds like the fuel injectors to me, whats that horrible growling sound though? Or is it just the microphone?

 

fuel injectors? what would cause them to create this knocking/tapping sound? The growl is probably from my borla exhaust coupled w/ the CAI.

 

I don't hear the knocking, but I hear the tapping and thats usually just the fuel injectors. You should have heard them on my 2004 GTO, that aluminum engine made them extremely loud. Most modern engines have pretty loud fuel injectors.

 

ok, so the fuel injector rattling sound is normal on our R53s?

 

Is on mine, I do have a louder tapping noise, but thats the noisy clutch chatter, that hasn't been anything more than annoying though.
