I have a situation.

Finally... After four long months of looking, I have found the perfect R53 MCS so aptly named Mini Mojo. However, I have come across a problem. My navigator side door will not unlock the door from the inside. My co-pilot has to open the door by reaching his/her arm out the window and reaching the handle. I was wondering if this is a common problem. Any information will be helpful. I may just end up seeing way on Friday. Thanks in advance.

Are they pulling the handle twice? If not, you have to pull the handle twice to open it. If this does not work, then you have a problem inside the door, most likely a cable has popped off.

Yes, they do that, and I have tried personally myself. Thanks for the info. I'll just have Way handle it Friday if he can fit it in his schedule.

It is likely just a broken cable.....don't freak out. The fact you can open the door from the outside, and it seems you are referring to opening the latch, so you can open the door...rather than un-locking it.....a locked door will not open from the outside! So something is messed up... but don't freak out!!
It is likely pretty minor...

My driver door just did this. My mechanic showed me a way to give it a temporary fix. We popped off the door panel, then you will see the cable running along the top. Roll the window down and remove the slack from the cable, keep holding the cable and now open the door normally from the inside, it should work. If it does and you want to save a few bucks, until you need to buy a new mechansim, drill a couple small holes in the sheet metal where you pulled the slack out, right in the middle of the door, and Ty wrap the cable down, so the slack is still pulled tight. This will work until then, did for me.
