Air Conditioning

My wife has a 2008 Cooer since brand new. She loves it and had 2 happy years. Recently it just passed 20000mile mark and AC stop working. Green light (snow flake) light is on but no cool air.... Is it common to have AC issue on new Cooper?

One of two things... if there is a leak, the coolant sensor can no longer "smell" it and will not start the AC compressor. Other issue is the AC compressor itself is bad. Tech should check for coolant in lines, then check and verify voltage is being delivered to the compressor itself.
