For anyone who has been through a Mini buy-back, I'd like to know the per mile depreciation that Mini agreed to (whether through Lemon Law or consumer protection statute).
Thanks for any help!

I don't know, but they should be forced to pay blue book value-MINI is currently holding 115% of their value, and that's the kbb.com dealer trade-in value. Should be absolutely NO depreciation!

i've heard that when miniusa buys your car back for whatever reason, you are sworn to secrecy and confidentiality agreements -- but i still hope people reply to this post!! there was an interesting article in our local paper a few weeks ago. let me dig it up and i'll try to post it.

I read a post somewhere in here from a guy who got a new 02 Mini swapped out for an 04 Mini by Mini USA, the only charge was 10 cents a mile.

Well I've had mine for 3 days and I couldn't be happier. It's really hard to imagine that so much is wrong with a car like this that it would need to be replaced entirely.

What kind of problems do you need to have to get a replacement or refund on a car?! I've seen complaints about squeaks and ratlles, and the occasional stumble or yo-yo that have apparently been fixed via software updates, but man that must suck to have so many things wring that you need to take it back.

i wonder what percentage of MINIs are that defective...
