I had this happen a couple of times years ago, but I can't remember what I did to fix it. The passenger seat slides freely back and fourth on it's track, but it's locked in the folded down position. I'm trying not to just forcefully yank on it..though I am tempted.

Mine did this before but in the reclined position. A forcefull pull finally got it and it worked OK after that day to day but at times did stick. We eventually had the mechanism replaced under warranty.
