Car cranks but doesnt start.
2005 MCS 45k Car ran fine just prior, battery seems fine, oil / gas everything is in order. Came out of the building dropped in, turned the car on, it went on for about 15 sec as if nothing was wrong then revs dropped and now it refuses to start. Engine is turning over fine so the starter is ok, tried to jump it, no luck, a push start didn't help ether. Would an acting up ECU produce this? I'm thinking ether that or fuel pump / plugs. It also threw battery light and engine oil, so I'm totally confused. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Turned out to be a blown fuse, no power to fuel pump so that was sorted out. Also the spark plugs were very much the original that came with the car, all gummed up and dirty, changed those aswell / cleaned Ignition coils of rust. Car runs much better now, no stuttering, very smooth overall. It wasnt cheap ether, so no more mini/bmw dealership service for me for a while, DIY or Indy from now on.
New peoblem though, steering is considerably harder, not sure if its another fuse or just something that came as a result from a reset ECU.

Was the car towed with a flat-bed?
When it was winched up, did you attatch the towhook that comes with the car or did the driver just hook onto something under the car?
The corrosion on the number 3 coil terminal is very common...I replaced mine with a MSD that has brass terminals for this reason...cost about $90. The terminal can be polished once or twice...but it is just nckel plated steel...so it quickly turns into a loosing battle. A drop of electrical grease might help slow down the corrosion.
The blown fuel pump fuse is very odd...keep that in mind...the pump maybe on the wayout, or maybe you got some fuel with some grit that jammed the pump or something....
The mini standard for changing sparkplugs is way to long for a performance car......IMO they should he swapped out at maybe 30,000 miles or so...especially if the car has a reduction pulley on the supercharger...
I would check the ps fluid level...and if low, add the correct special fluid, petrosin...mini, VW, and BMW sells it.
